In our times, the increasing importance of the aesthetics has led to the creation of a variety of products for correcting facial imperfections that develop as a consequence of aging and other causes. However, those cutaneous filling products have had their limitations. Based on cumulative experience and research performed by Establishment Biotech, we have created Beautyfill®.

¿What is Beautyfill®?
Beautyfill® is a subcutaneous and/or supraperiostic injectable implant made of 100% synthetic Calcium Hydroxyapatite (CaHA), intended to correct facial depressions and to add projection to some specific areas in order to create a more balanced appearance of the face.

The implant (Beautyfill®) is a slowly resorbable biomaterial in a sterile, free of pyrogens, physiological solution. Calcium Hydroxyapatite is identical in composition to the mineral portion of teeth and bone, so it is 100% biocompatible.

¿How does Beautyfill® work?
Calcium Hydroxyapatite creates a network that promotes the surrounding cells to be infiltrated and incorporated to form a stable scaffold in which soft tissue can grow. 

  • The gel (Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose-HPMC) carrier is gradually absorbed, and natural surrounding tissue replaces it, forming a long-lasting implant made of Calcium Hydroxyapatite particles and the body’s own tissue.
 
  • Over a period of time, the Calcium Hydroxyapatite particles degrade through dissolution in the aqueous tissue environment and the remaining submicron units are reduced to calcium and phosphate ions at the site of the original particle. These ions undergo normal homeostatic processes.

¿What are the key elements of Beautyfill®?
  1. Calcium Hydroxyapatite as a main component.
  2. Perfect balance between permanent and short lasting procedures.
  3. Subcutaneous and/ or supraperiostic placement of the implant.
  4. Sphericity, porosity and random arrangement of the CaHA particles, lowering the risk of granulomas and indurations, promoting the growth of soft tissue around and inside the implant, and conferring a better and longer lasting result.

¿When can you use Beautyfill®?
Beautyfill® is best indicated for Contour Modeling (CHEEKBONE AND CHIN AUGMENTATION, JAW LINE CONTOURING AND NOSE SHAPING) and for Structural Reconstruction of depressions caused by traumatic, congenital and iatrogenic reasons (LIPOATROPHY, resectional scars, FRONTAL CONTOUR DEFECTS SECONDARY TO FRACTURES, nose deformities, etc.).
